This educational resource is a Learning Situation within the field of Technology, Programming and Robotics, and is intended for ESO (Compulsory Secondary Education) students.
The learning situation, entitled “The Power of the Transistor”, combines theoretical learning of the fundamentals of electronics, such as the function of the transistor, with the development of digital and technological skills. This practical challenge guides ESO students through several practices. Students will design and assemble a series of circuits to control components such as LEDs, buzzers and servomotors, using both NPN transistors and controller elements such as the Micro:bit board.
The final project consists of the construction and programming of a fully functional electronic opening safe controlled by a Micro:bit board.
This resource promotes digital literacy, logical thinking, and cooperative work through the project-based learning method. It allows you to integrate programming, electronics, and prototyping into the classroom. Detailed teaching guides for each unit, materials lists, circuit diagrams, and all the code examples needed to carry out the activity are included.
