UPC Chip Chair

Science, Technology and Innovation

Promote research and train the talent that will lead the technological innovation of the future.

The UPC Chair in Advanced Architectures and Photonic Systems acts as a catalyst for knowledge, making the semiconductor and microelectronics sector visible and arousing the interest of pre-university and university students. We train the next generation of innovative professionals and establish semiconductors and microelectronics as a key pillar of the technological future, reinforcing the role of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia as a center for research and transfer to industry.

The Chair is a project funded by PERTE Chip, by the Ministry for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service, by the Secretariat of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures, and by the European Union – Next Generation EU.
