The Chip UPC Chair, through doctoral programs in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, and Computer Architecture, aims to carry out intensive doctoral thesis-level training in collaboration with companies associated with the Chair, to train dozens of doctors in the coming years.

The Chip UPC Chair, also known for its activity in advanced architectures and photonic systems, carries out its research activity in collaboration with 12 companies in the ecosystem and with the support of 2 research centers: BSC and ICFO.

  • LENOVO: Genomic analysis and acceleration of processes in HPC
  • NVIDIA: Evaluation and analysis of RISC-V vector CPUs

  • LUXQUANTA: Development of integrated photonic circuits (PICs- CVQKD)
  • QURV: Development of integrated photonic circuits
  • QUSIDE: Development of integrated photonic circuits (PICs- QRNG)
