Development of an innovative atomic diffraction lithography system

Description

His next research focuses on refining the equipment used to channel atoms in scientific laboratories. Currently, these systems can be difficult to control, so he will apply advanced digital modeling to optimize their “blueprints.” By the end of the project, he hopes to have developed a more reliable and energy-efficient setup for researchers to use.

Background

Manu obtained his degree in Physics at the UB (Barcelona) and was part of the accelerator team at the ALBA Synchrotron as an engineer. Later, he worked as an assistant researcher in Tensorial Networks at the UB and completed his Master's degree in Quantum Science and Technology at the TUM and LMU (Munich), where he also collaborated as an assistant researcher in Condensed Matter. He currently works as a project research engineer in Quantum Key Distribution at ICFO (Barcelona).

Motivation

Manu is motivated by the challenge of turning abstract laws of physics into tangible technology. He is passionate about the process of translating fundamental principles into practical, high-tech solutions that solve real-world problems. This project represents a perfect opportunity to do exactly that: understand the complex behavior of atoms and use it to develop a more reliable and advanced product, thereby expanding the boundaries of our technology.
