Microcredential in Custom Digital Signal Processing Systems

You can now apply for admission to the Microcredential in Digital Signal Processing Systems at Mid a. This intensive training, which will be taught at the UPC – Campus Nord in Barcelona from June 15 to 19, 2026 , offers a key specialization in one of the fundamental technologies of modern electronic systems.

The course provides a solid foundation in the fundamentals of digital signal processing (DSP), including concepts such as sampling, aliasing, filtering, and the use of programmable devices such as FPGAs. It also introduces fixed-point and floating-point numeric formats and the arithmetic-logical operations necessary to implement efficient digital systems.

Throughout the program, participants will work with advanced signal generation and processing techniques, such as DDS, the CORDIC algorithm, and filtering structures such as FIR and CIC, as well as DFT and FFT transforms. In addition, the implementation of complete DSP systems, including data and clock recovery circuits, digital modulators, and experimental verification processes, will be addressed.

As a differential element, the microcredential combines the theoretical foundations of DSP with its practical implementation in programmable hardware, allowing participants to design and verify custom signal processing systems in FPGA. Through applied activities and simulation, they will acquire a comprehensive vision of the development of DSP accelerators adapted to real applications.

This training is aimed at professionals, recent graduates or electronic engineering students interested in implementing signal processing systems in hardware. Registration does not guarantee admission, as all applications will be assessed in a selection process, with a decision made by June 2, 2026.
