Microcredential in Microelectronics and the Semiconductor Industry for Executives, Managers and Investors

You can now apply for admission to the Microcredential in Microelectronics and the Semiconductor Industry for Executives, Managers and Investors . This intensive training, which will be given at the UPC – Campus Nord in Barcelona from June 1 to 5, 2026 , offers a strategic vision of one of the most relevant technological sectors with the greatest impact on the global economy.

The course provides a comprehensive understanding of the role of integrated circuits as a high-value-added technology, addressing the fundamentals of chip design, manufacturing processes, and the technical, economic, and time factors that condition the development of microelectronic products. It also analyzes key differences with respect to software development and the implications these have for project planning.

Throughout the program, participants will explore the different stages of a chip’s life cycle—from design and verification to manufacturing, packaging, and integration—as well as the main functional blocks that compose it, such as memories, digital logic, analog circuits, and processors. They will also be introduced to key concepts about technological nodes and resources necessary for the development of integrated circuits.

As a differentiating element, the microcredential offers a structured view of the semiconductor industrial ecosystem, including business models, the main players in the sector and the dynamics of the value chain. Through the analysis of real cases, participants will acquire criteria for evaluating projects and making strategic decisions in business, institutional or investment environments.

This training is aimed at management positions and profiles with responsibility for decision-making, with previous experience in project management. Registration does not guarantee admission, as all applications will be assessed in a selection process, with a decision from May 19, 2026.
